This project is a service for the construction of the Municipal Gangdong Silver Care Center. As the aging society deepens, the demand for nursing facilities continues to expand due to the rapid increase in the elderly population and the increase and decrease in dementia patients.
We aim to contribute to the realization of a filial Seoul by building a Silver Care Center, a public nursing facility for patients with dementia, stroke, and other geriatric diseases, and providing high-quality care services.
A public outdoor space is planned in the center of the first floor of the Municipal Gangdong Silver Care to enable communication between the inside and the outside. The main hall, restaurant, and office are located on the first floor, and the residential units are located on the second and third floors, centering on the public outdoor space, aiming for an open character where residents, visitors, employees, and even citizens can interact.
Each residential unit actively utilizes natural lighting and natural ventilation by arranging the central common living room facing south and facing the loggia. The intention is to bring natural light into the common living room so that the residential unit space always maintains a bright atmosphere.
