Project Information

The construction of the new hospital in Sosa-dong, Pyeongtaek Good Morning Hospital aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the existing hospital by moving some departments of the existing Good Morning Hospital to the newly built hospital and to make the newly built hospital self-reliant by specializing in specific functions. The departments of pediatrics and adolescent medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and otolaryngology were moved and made independent from the existing hospital, and additionally, an infant and toddler examination center, an infertility center, and a postpartum care center were installed to plan a hospital specialized for women and children.

The space created by moving departments from the existing hospital was filled with programs to strengthen the competitiveness of the existing Good Morning Hospital, thereby fostering the self-reliance of the new hospital and at the same time, seeking to differentiate and strengthen the competitiveness of the existing hospital. With the theme of a hospital that grows together with the family, an obstetrics and gynecology department and a postpartum care center were planned for the birth of a family, and various community facilities were added to support the growth of the family.

The overall design concept of the building is Happy Pot, and it was planned to be a comfortable and warm hospital for women and children by selecting materials for the facade that give a warm feeling and placing a courtyard that penetrates the ground floor in the center. In addition, various types of rooftop gardens were placed so that mothers using the postpartum care center can feel psychological stability and an open view. Along with the new hospital, a neighborhood living facility that can be used as a convenience facility and accommodation was designed on the adjacent land, and the facades were connected as one so that the two buildings feel like one unified building.
